Registered Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse
Our team of registered/licensed vocational nurses manage the pain and symptoms of patients based on a carefully crafted care program designed specifically for each patient. Aside from their medical role, they also provide emotional and moral support to their patients and their families at this very challenging time of their life. They do this by educating the family and the patients about the disease of the patient and how the care plan will alleviate the pain and symptoms, they will also assess if the care plan is working and may recommend the appropriate actions that will fit the needs of the patients.
As case handlers on the medical aspect, they do the monitoring of vital signs, manage the medications, and provide for the specific need of every patient. We also make sure that our nurses are able to handle crisis situations since these things are very common in hospice facilities. Our nurses are ready to respond during emergency situations like breathing difficulty, agitation, and bleeding. Since our nurses are tasked to relay information to patients, family members, social workers, physicians, and chaplains, they are also trained to do this with utmost consideration and sensitivity.
